Mum of two Carol Taylor never dreamed that she would shape up as a stunning success in the female bodybuilding world when she started competing for the first time ever this year. But to her amazement she won a second place ranking - and then two top titles. Carol has been training with weights for years, but only began a strict training and nutrition regime in february 2006. She decided to start competing in the miss figure category in the amateur female bodybuilding world. Although Miss Figure contestants are bodybuilders, they must keep their shape feminine at the same time. Carol has dropped from a 10-12 dress size down to a size 8-10. Carol had expert advice from Dunstable Sports Nutrition Centre. She was thrilled to win second place in her category of a south east competition run by the National Amateur Body Builders Association. Three weeks later, she took first place in her category in a contest run by the World amateur Body Builders Association, held in Durham. The last competition she went was Body Beautiful Spectacular in Coultchester and she took first place in her category. Carol said that it has changed her whole life. She surprised herself in what she can do and how much control she has over her body. She said: the more you know about nutrition and training, the more contol you have over it.
